Terms and Conditions

Promoter

Promoter: Student Castle Property Management Services Limited (company number 07119911), acting for and on behalf of the relevant landlord of each Participating Property (the “Promoter”). 

Correspondence address: 4th Floor, WestWorks, White City Place, 195 Wood Lane, London, England, W12 7FQ. The Prize will be funded by the relevant landlord of the winner’s Participating Property and administered by the Promoter. 

Eligibility

  1. The promotion is open toindividuals who:
  2. Are aged 18 or over at the date of entry;
  3. Are enrolled (or have a confirmed place) as a full-time student forthe 2026/27 academic year, and studying at a local higher education institution; and
  4. Make a new qualifying booking for the 2026/27 academic yearfor a minimumtenancy period of 40 weeks at one of the Student Castle branded properties listed below (each a “Participating Property”) and meet all other requirements in these Terms & Conditions (an “Eligible Entrant”). 
  • Bowman House, Nottingham 
  • Nottingham Square, Nottingham 
  • The Glasshouse, Nottingham 
  • Danesgate House, Lincoln
  • Ben Russell Court, Leicester
  • Rockingham House, Sheffield 

For the purposes of this promotion, a “new qualifying booking” means a booking for the 2026/27 academic year that was not already in place at the relevant Participating Property before 00:01 on 14th August 2026. 

  1. Employees, contractors and agents of the Promoter, the relevant landlords and any company directly involved in administering the promotion, together with members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible.
  2. There is a maximum of one entry per person. Making more than one qualifying booking will not result inadditionalentries. Entries made using false information, multiple identities or accounts, automated methods, agents or other third parties will be disqualified. 

Promotional Period

  1. The promotion opens at 00:01 on14thAugust 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31st August 2026 (the “Promotional Period”). 
  2. Bookings completed outside the Promotional Period will not qualify for entry.

How to Enter

  1. To enter, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Promotional Period, book a room for the 2026/27 academic year at a Participating Property directly via studentcastle.co.uk and complete the booking requirements necessary to secure the room, including completion of the tenancy agreement and any payment required to secure the booking.

No separate competition entry form is required. Each qualifying booking will automatically receive one entry into the prize draw. 

  1. Bookings made via university partners,under nominations agreements do not qualify
  2. If a booking is cancelled orterminatedat the time of the draw, the related entry will be void. 

The Prize

  1. One winner will receive a credit towards the rent payable under their qualifying 2026/27 tenancy, up to a maximum value of £10,000 (the “Prize”).
  2. If the winner’s total rent for 2026/27 exceeds the cap in clause 4.1, the winner must pay the balancein accordance withthe tenancy agreement. 
  3. If the winner’s total rent for 2026/27 is less than £10,000, the Prize will be limited to the amount of rent payable. No unused balance will be paid in cash or transferred to the winner.
  4. The Prize is personal to the winner, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative. It can only be applied to the qualifying 2026/27 tenancy.
  5. The Prize will be funded by the relevant landlord and applied to the winner’s rent account once:
  6. the winner has moved into the relevant Participating Propertyin accordance withtheir tenancy; and 
  7. the Promoter has completed any reasonable verification of the winner’s identity and eligibility. The credit will beallocated against rent due under the tenancy payment schedule. 

Where rent has already been paid before the Prize is applied, the Promoter may apply the Prize against future instalments or make an appropriate adjustment or refund to the winner’s rent account. 

  1. If the winner cancels their qualifying booking before moving in, the Prize will beforfeitedand offered to a reserve winner. If the winner’s tenancy ends early after move-in, any part of the Prize not yet applied to rent due under the tenancy will be forfeited. 

Winner Selection

  1. All valid entries will be entered into a random prize draw conducted on 2ndSeptember 2026.
  2. The winner will be selected using a verifiably random computer process or another random selection process supervised by an independent person.The Promoter will retain appropriate records demonstrating that the draw was conducted fairly.
  3. One or more reserve winners may also be selected at the same time, in the order in which they are drawn.

Notification and Claiming the Prize

  1. The winner will be notified via email using the contact details provided in the booking within 7 working days of the draw.
  2. The winner must respond and accept the Prize within 7 days of the date of notification.If the winner does not respond within that period, reasonable attempts to contact them are unsuccessful, or the qualifying booking has been cancelled or terminated, the Prize will be forfeited and offered to the next eligible reserve winner in the order in which reserve winners were drawn.
  3. The Promoter may request reasonable evidence confirming the winner’s identity, studentstatusand eligibility. Unless otherwise agreed by the Promoter, any requested evidence must be provided within 7 days. If the winner does not provide the required evidence or is found not to meet the eligibility requirements, the Prize will be forfeited and offered to the next eligible reserve winner. 

Unclaimed or Disqualified Prizes

  1. If the Prize is unclaimed, declined orforfeited, or the winner is disqualified, the Prize will be offered to the next eligible reserve winner in the order in which reserve winners were drawn. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to award the advertised Prize to an eligible winner.
  2. If the winner cancels their qualifying 2026/27 booking beforemove-in, the Prize will beforfeited and offered to the next eligible reserve winner. 

Publicity

  1. The Promoter may make available informationdemonstratingthat a valid award took place, ordinarily the winner’s surname and county, to anyone who reasonably requests this information within three months of the closing date. 
  2. An entrant may object to their information being published or request that the amount of information published is reduced. The Promoter may still provide relevant winner information and evidence of the award to the Advertising Standards Authority or another relevant regulator ifrequired.
  3. The Promoter may invite the winner toparticipatein reasonable publicity, including photographs, social media content, interviews or testimonials. Participation in any such additional publicity is entirely voluntary and will only take place with the winner’s agreement. 

Data Protection

  1. The Promoter is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the promotion.
  2. Personal data will be processed as necessary to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, conduct the draw, contact the winner and reserve winners, fulfil the Prize and meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements, in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Notice available at studentcastle.co.uk.
  3. Entry into this promotion does not require consent to marketing.Any marketing opt-in will be separate andoptional and, where consent is relied upon, may be withdrawn at any time. 
  4. Personal data relating to the promotion will only beretained for as long as reasonably necessary for administration and applicable legal, regulatory and record-keeping requirements, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised. 

Fairness and Exclusions

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or withhold or withdraw the Prize if:
  2. the entrant has provided false or misleading information, acted fraudulently or dishonestly, orattemptedto manipulate the promotion or prize draw; 
  3. the entrant has otherwise failed to meet the eligibility or entry requirements clearly set out in these Terms & Conditions; or
  4. entriesgenerated by script, macro, automated means, or using multiple identities or accounts are prohibited and will be disqualified. 
  5. The Promoter will exercise any right to disqualify an entrant or withhold the Prize reasonably and fairly.

Changes to the Promotion

  1. The Promoter may suspend,amendor cancel the promotion only where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this unavoidable, including serious technical failures, fraud, changes in law or other events that prevent the promotion from being administered fairly. 
  2. Any change will be limited to what isreasonably necessaryin the circumstances. Where a change materially affects entrants, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to notify affected entrants and seek to avoid unfairly disadvantaging anyone who has already entered. 

Liability

  1. The Promoter is not responsible for:
  2. entries lost, delayed, misdirected, or corrupted due to network, system, hardware, or software failure; or
  3. losses that were notreasonably foreseeableor that arise as a result of circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control. 
  4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  5. Your statutory rights are not affected.

General

  1. The winner maybe requiredto complete reasonable verification documents. Any separate publicity consent will be voluntary. 
  2. If any provisions of these Terms are found to be invalid or unenforceable, theremaindershall remain in force. 
  3. These Terms & Conditions apply specifically to the promotion and should be read alongside the winner’s tenancy agreement.Nothing in these Terms changes the tenancy except for the application of the Prize as expressly described above.
  4. In the event ofany inconsistency between promotional advertising and these Terms & Conditions, these Terms & Conditions will apply, except where this would unfairly disadvantage an entrant or conflict with applicable law. 

Governing Law

  1. These Terms & Conditions and the promotion are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Entrants willretainany mandatory rights they have under applicable consumer law in relation to jurisdiction.
